Do I only have the “open enrollment” time period to be able to set up private insurance?

No, the open enrollment period only applies to ACA/Obamacare and Government plans. Private health insurance is available year round.

Is private health insurance expensive?

Private insurance is actually much less expensive than you think! From personal experience, I switched to private and saved $1,800 that year alone!

Do you have other insurance plans as well?

We offer medical/health, dental, vision, life, supplemental, critical illness, short term disability, and have access to everything out there. We are happy to guide you in the right direction if you are in need of something specific!

Does private health insurance have year long contracts?

There is no contract or required length of time you must keep your policy, you pay for the plan as long as you need it.

What are insurance prices based on?

Public marketplace plans (ACA/Obamacare) are based on income and age. Private plans are based on individual health. In most cases, the only way to make coverage any cheaper is to either remove benefits or reverse age.

Biggest differences between ACA/Obamacare, Employer Plans, and Private Insurance?

ACA/Obamacare plans are considered guaranteed issue, meaning they cannot be denied to you because of any pre-existing conditions. If you receive government subsidies on monthly premiums, it is most reasonable priced. It costs more than the majority of other plans if you do not receive that discount.

Employer plans are AMAZING for the employee, but the premium will rise the moment you add a family member (spouse, children, or both) to the coverage. This is due to the fact that, although firms frequently provide discounts to employees, adding family to the plan will cost them fully.
